Accommodations

As a reminder, the registration fee for the CEF 2019 Global Event covers your meals, content, and event costs. Transportation and lodging costs are separate. We have negotiated a reduced rate for our guests to stay on site at Stein Eriksen Lodge, which will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Space is very limited so please call the hotel as soon as possible to book your reservation.* If you are looking for alternative accommodations, we recommend The Chateaux Deer Valley (2-3 minute walk).

*You can call the Stein Eriksen reservations team at +1-800-453-1302 (or email reservations@steinlodge.com). Please let them know you are a part of CEF 2019. If you are interested in extending your stay, our group rate is also available for 3 days before and after CEF 2019 based on availability at the hotel.

CEF 2019 Group Rate: $279/night
exclusive of occupancy tax, resort fee ($15/day), and parking ($15/day)

Please plan to arrive Sunday, July 21 and depart Wednesday, July 24. If you plan to stay for the optional tour day, please plan to stay through Wednesday night. The hotel requires a deposit of the first night’s room rate and tax, which is refundable up to 30 days prior to arrival. The hotel balance will be paid upon check out. Check in time is 4 PM and check out time is 11 AM.

Schedule

We will have a check-in desk available from 1 PM to 5 PM on Sunday, July 21, located upstairs, above the front desk of Stein Eriksen. Please plan to arrive at the hotel by 3 PM and stop by to pick up your CEF book and materials!

As a reminder, our opening session on Sunday begins at 6 PM and will end around 9:30 PM. We realize this is during the dinner window and we will have plenty of food, as well as a cash bar available, and have a special evening planned to kick off our time together.

We will meet together from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM on Monday, July 22 and Tuesday, July 23 with our closing celebration banquet on Tuesday evening. This typically ends late in the evening so please book your accommodations through Tuesday night (checking out Wednesday, July 24) unless you plan to stay with us for the tour day on July 24.

Please plan to attend all sessions, meals and events.

Early Arrivals

If you are arriving in Park City early, we have compiled some local church options and activities for you to explore.

For those looking to attend a church service Sunday morning, we recently heard about Hope Church and wanted to share with you. Hope Church exists to make disciples and plant churches and offers Sunday morning services at 9:30 or 11:00 AM. They meet in a BAM (Business As Mission) coworking facility called Salt Mine in Salt Lake City, about 30 minutes from Stein Eriksen. The founder of Salt Mine, David Edmunds, is happy to schedule a personal tour and explain how coworking can be a platform for BAM church planting movements in difficult places. Please feel free to reach out to him directly at david@meetatsaltmine.com or +1(801)557-7258.

For those looking to explore Salt Lake City, you may want to check out historic Temple Square, which will be closed for renovations for the next 4 years starting in December.

Historic Main Street in Park City is a great option for those who want to stay close to Stein Eriksen. More ideas of things to do in Park City can be found here

Airport, Travel, and Transportation Information

We recommend flying into Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), which is a little less than an hour away from the event location – Stein Eriksen.

There are several options for arranging your rides between SLC airport and Stein Eriksen:

  1. Rent a car – parking is available at Stein Eriksen for $15 per car per day.
  2. Book airport shuttle through third party (ex: Uber, Lyft, Snow Country Limo or Exclusive Excursions). The concierge team at Stein Eriksen (435-645-6460) can also help you book transportation (through Snow Country).
  3. There is a ride-sharing feature in the event app, which you can download here.

If you need a visa invitation letter, please let us know and we will get that to you as soon as possible.

Weather

Summers in Utah are warm. Expect sunny days with average highs around 80 degrees Fahrenheit (26 degrees Celsius). Evenings are cooler and lows will drop to around 45 degrees Fahrenheit (7 degrees Celsius).

Park City sits at 7,000 feet elevation (2,134 meters). Please keep in mind that with the higher elevation comes dry air and a greater likelihood to sunburn. We recommend staying extremely hydrated to avoid altitude sickness and wearing sunscreen for extended periods of time outside.

Dress Code & Packing Information

The attire for CEF 2019 is resort casual. Dinner on Monday will be casual and the attire for our reception and closing banquet on Tuesday night is coat and tie for the men and dresses for the ladies. We will have several evening receptions outside (weather-permitting) so we encourage you to bring a sweater or light jacket.
